Stop thinking that relationships are not supposed to change you. That is the main point of a relationship. Today, I received a word for a personal prayer for my life that I think will be helpful for many who are dealing with anxiety regarding this election. What I received was connected to something I received when I was my doctoral programl. I received a vision of a scene from The Book of Eli where he was shot in the stomach (gut shot) after having been protected from bullets for such a long time. When Solara asked him why he was still heading west and why did he give up “the book” that he vowed to never give up, his reply was: “…I forgot to live by what it taught me. …Do more for others than you do for yourself”

This image is from a scene in the movie where Eli came to a fork in the road and he chose which way to go by faith and intuition of other senses and not by sight.

No matter who wins and no matter who loses, SOMEone, one side will receive a gut shot. How the win is handled by both sides will show whether or not we have forgotten to live by what the word teaches us. Make your choices by faith, by intuition of a collection of information and not by sight alone. Remain steadfast and be anxious for Nothing, because what is meant to be, will be. Yesterday, I stood in line for 5.5 hrs. to vote. I had a client couple at 6p and was able to push it back 1hr. I had some conversation with the people in front and behind me in line and told them, I may have to leave for my session if I didn’t make it to the front of the line in time. All of the people in my line were white, but although they were different from me, the people in front of me all said I could get in front of them to vote. It was so moving to see a sense of unity and community where you may not expect to find it. The line struggle presented an opportunity to see people helping each other at a time of tension and division. I got the memo late about National Daughters Day on Friday, but I saw that today is International Daughters Day and my Daughter’s Birthday is coming this week. Celebrating her this week.
